KKR's star player Venkatesh Iyer gets married to fiancee Shruti Raghunathan; pictures surface on internet

The top all-rounder for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) got married to Shruti Raghunathan. In front of their respective families and friends, the couple exchanged wedding vows on Sunday morning after becoming engaged in November 2023. Social media users express their love for them worldwide due to the stunning wedding ceremony photos that have gone viral. 

They shared pictures from Iyer's wedding ceremony, in which the newlyweds were seen wearing traditional South Indian wedding garbs. Both were seen carrying out the customary Indian marital rites. Shruti has a B.Com. from PSG College of Arts and Science and a Master's degree in Fashion Management from NIFT, India, whereas Iyer is occupied with playing cricket.

She is a merchandising planner employed by Lifestyle International Private Limited in Bengaluru. Moreover, Iyer had a fantastic IPL 2024 batting performance and was crucial to KKR's title victory. Iyer scored 370 runs at a strike rate of 158.80 in 14 games. In the IPL 2024, he also hit four half-centuries and achieved his highest score of 70.

In the final match, Iyer's outstanding half-century enabled KKR to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and win their third IPL finals easily. About the last game, in a season that KKR controlled from beginning to end, their bowling unit was impressive as they bowled out Sunrisers for a pitiful 113 in 18.3 overs and left them in ruins. It was the lowest-ever IPL finals score in the competition.

Then, Iyer (52*), an underappreciated all-rounder for India, assisted KKR in finishing the formalities in only 10.3 overs. After winning the trophy, the entire team, along with their owner, Shah Rukh Khan, posed for a photograph, giving the flying kiss gesture along with Harshit Rana, who was banned from one match for this.
