Jayden Seales reveals reason behind James Anderson not getting guard of honor

England pacer James Anderson is playing the final game of his cricket career. The veteran pacer is set to bow out on a high in front of a packed crowd at the home of cricket in Lord’s. many of the fans were surprised that James Anderson wasn’t given a guard of honour by the West Indian team. 

Jayden Seales the West Indian fast bowler while speaking at the end of the day said “We spoke about it before he came out to bat, that we were going to give him a guard of honour. And then, obviously, the run-out took us all the way to a Swiss cottage, like you said. So we wanted to have a guard of honour for the great man”

The West Indian bowler also said “ so it was pretty hard to do the guard of honour for the great man. Luckily, Jason caught up with him.” When the stumps were drawn the visitors were 79/6 still trailing by 171 runs and heading to a defeat. 

England cruising towards an easy win 

The English team began the day at 189/3 with a lead of 68 runs. Harry Brook was the first player to fall after he scored 50 when he fell to Alzarri Joseph. Gudakesh Motie then got the big wickets of Ben Stokes and Joe Root to put the England team in trouble. 

Debutant Jamie Smith then added 52 runs for the 7th wicket before going on to score his maiden Test fifty. The youngster fell for 70 runs from 119 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes as the England side were all out for 381 with an overall lead of 250 runs. With 4/77 from his 20 overs, Jayden Seales was the best bowler for his side.

James Anderson struck first when he dismissed Kraigg Brathwaite for 4 before Ben Stokes got the wicket of McKenize for a duck. The visitors kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Alick Athanze scored 22 and Jason Holder scored 20. When the stumps were drawn Alzarri Joseph was on 7 with just the bowlers left to bat.
