The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come up with a few guidelines for the Indian cricketers to follow in the future. In the 10-pointer guidelines, the Board mentioned that the players would have to travel together in the same team bus and stay in the same hotel. Speaking about the disciplinary issues that are going on around Indian cricket, former Australian cricketer Ian Healy slammed the team for causing trouble unnecessarily.
"It’s concerning that these issues went unchecked for so long. The response from Indian cricket authorities has been firm, acknowledging a serious lapse in maintaining the team’s discipline. It’s quite extraordinary that such matters went unnoticed," said Ian Healy.
There have been several reports regarding the fight that's happening inside the Indian team, and the conversation leaks are the evidence. Ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025, head coach Gautam Gambhir and Co. will be looking forward to putting out their best game possible in the tournament to bring back the trophy. India last won the Champions Trophy in 2013 against England and then went on to lose the finals against Pakistan in 2017.
I have that hunger: Mohammed Shami
India's star pacer Mohammed Shami is set to make his comeback in the upcoming T20I series against England. After missing out on action for 14 months, the pacer will finally wear the Indian jersey on January 22. He spoke to the young girls at an event hosted by CAB and mentioned that his hunger to play more has helped him return to cricket even after a long wait.
"The most important thing is that the desire to play for the country should never fade. There must always be a hunger to represent the Indian team. I have that hunger, and I intend to play for India until my last breath," said Mohammed Shami.
