Team India went on to beat Bangladesh in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 on February 20. The entire team performed brilliantly, especially Shubman Gill, who scored a century in the game. Meanwhile, India skipper Rohit Sharma played well, too, but ended up getting out on 41 runs. This has always been the case with Rohit. He gives an excellent start to the team but throws his wicket away just when the team gains momentum.

Speaking about the player and his performance on his YouTube Channel, Aakash Chopra, India's former cricketer, said that the fans shouldn't be happy with the 40s as the batter is just amazing and can do much more than that. Rohit has a lot of potential, but he has failed to capitalize on it recently.

"We must acknowledge that Rohit played well as long as he played. I might sound like a broken record but if he is going too hard too soon, the team falls slightly behind when he gets out. It won't work out if we get happy with 40 runs from a 100-run batter," said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel.

Axar Patel was brilliant: Aakash Chopra

India's spinner, Axar Patel, was just outstanding with the ball in the first game, taking two wickets. He could have taken three wickets and a hat trick as well, but Rohit Sharma dropped a sitter on the slips. Aakash Chopra praised Axar for his brilliant performance in the game. India's next target will be Pakistan on February 23.

"However, he (Rohit) got some runs because you don't want to go into a match against Pakistan with no runs under your belt. Axar Patel was brilliant. He consistently kept bowling at one spot. He picked up two wickets very quickly. He was on a hat-trick but a catch was dropped at slip," added Aakash Chopra.
