Former Australian legendary bowler Brett Lee took to his YouTube channel to talk about Virat Kohli and his dripping form. Kohli's performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 was below par and just scored a single century in the entire series. Lee spoke about how he felt it was very unlikely of Kohli to chase those outside off stump balls throughout the entire series.

"For me, it was very Un-Kohli-like; you obviously get batsmen nick off occasionally or they’ll do something and they’ll make those differences in their actions and techniques, but the thing with Virat Kohli. Unfortunately for him, he kept getting out the same way through the whole Test series. I think back to Perth, the second innings where he made a magnificent 100, and I thought, Okay, he’s in going himself in the first innings nicked off, but now he’s back to his best, 100," said Brett Lee on his YouTube channel.

Kohli was dismissed eight out of seven times on the outside off stump deliveries, making it a recurring mistake. He didn't try to rectify his mistake or was just reckless to improve himself. Post that, he had to face a lot of criticism

DDCA has urged Virat Kohli to play domestic cricket

Virat Kohli and Risbhab Pant's names are included in Delhi's probable list for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2025. However, Kohli hasn't confirmed his participation yet, while Rohit Sharma is practicing with the Mumbai team. Hence, DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma urged Kohli to participate.

"Both Virat and Rishabh’s names are on the probable list. The Ranji Trophy camp is underway. Virat should take inspiration from the Mumbai cricketers and play for Delhi in domestic cricket whenever he is available. See, in Mumbai, there has always been a culture where their India players turn up for Ranji matches whenever available. It is missing in the North, especially in Delhi," said Ashok Sharma The Indian Express.
