ISL vs LAH Dream11
It is the start of the PSL 2025 as the first game of the season witnesses two heavyweights playing each other. Current champions Islamabad United take on Lahore Qalandars in the first match of the season on Friday. Islamabad had beaten Multan Sultans in the finals last year by two wickets. Lahore, on the other hand, had a miserable season, finishing last in the table with just one win.
ISL will want to start the season on a strong note and show why they had won the title last year. As far as the international flavour is concerned, Islamabad have the likes of Colin Munro, Rassie van der Dussen, Jason Holder, Riley Meredith, and Ben Dwarshuis. The local Pakistani talent involves the likes of Salman Agha, Imad Wasim, and skipper Shadab Khan.
Lahore Qalandars (LAH) had come into the previous season as the defending champions and had won just once in their ten matches. Shaheen Shah Afridi will hope that his team can bounce back from the bad season last year and give a good account of themselves. Lahore has a great mix of international and domestic talent that will be ready to show their prowess and start the season on a high.

Rawalpindi has been known to produce high-scoring encounters in the past and it will not be any different in the early stages of PSL 2025. The captain winning the toss will want to bowl first, as there could be a bit of dew later in the game. Historically, the ground has helped the team batting second, with run scoring becoming easy. One can expect the seamers to get good carry early in the game and the batters will have to make use of the powerplay overs. Spinners could come into the game once the ball gets old and the pitch begins to die down.
