In what seems to be a relieving piece of news for RCB, the veteran Aussie pacer Josh Hazlewood is set to return to India for the remainder of the ongoing IPL 2025. Earlier, there were the speculations that he might miss the remaining part of the tournament owing to the shoulder niggle and his commitments for the national side.

But a source in the know revealed this good news for the RCB fans that the star in-form batter will be joining the team for the remaining part of the tournament. Notably, Hazlewood has been the ‘top performer with the ball’ for his side in the ongoing 18th edition of the tournament.

“Yes, Josh will travel to India. We are in discussion with the authorities about the exact date of his arrival,” said the source to the Hindustan Times on the condition of hiding his identity.

Speaking of Hazlewood’s brilliant bowling performances for RCB in the ongoing IPL 2025, he is currently the leading wicket-taker for his side in the tournament. The 34-year-old has scalped 18 wickets in 10 innings, with a brilliant bowling strike rate of 12.27. It also includes a four-wicket haul (4 wickets at 33 runs in a game) to his name.

Before the suspension of the tournament, RCB enjoyed an outstanding run of form, winning eight games and losing only three in their 11 games. They are currently placed in the second spot on the table, with 16 points to their name. Rajat Patidar’s men are coming off 4 wins and only one defeat in their last five games.

In the next three games of their campaign, RCB will face Delhi Capitals, LSG, and CSK before the playoffs of the tournament.
