A big update regarding rescheduling the 32nd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League, to be played between KKR and RR, has been made. After Kolkata Police and local administration expressed their concern regarding the security concerns due to the Ramnavami festivities.

Earlier, the match was scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 17, 2023, but now, it has been rescheduled to the day before, on April 16. On the other hand, the match between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals on April 16 in Ahmedabad has been rescheduled to the day later on April 17, 2023.

“Since the match coincides with Ram Navami and a portion of security is already deployed for elections. Therefore, it won't be possible for us to provide adequate security for the match on April 17,” reads the letter written by Kolkata Police to Snehasish Ganguly, President of the Cricket Association of Bengal.
