Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will meet the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, as the men-in-yellow will be looking for a much-needed victory. As the IPL 2024 is almost over for PBKS, it's not the same for CSK. The hosts have a clear chance of qualifying for the play-offs if they win all their remaining matches. With skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad in form, CSK will definitely look to defeat PBKS and make their chances permanent in the tournament. While CSK and PBKS have a long history, the current players in both teams haven't had a real battle against each other yet. However, this match might be the start of some big battles.

Hence, let's check out the three key battles in CSK vs PBKS match:

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Arshdeep Singh:

Ruturaj

While captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is in his peak form, he bats like there's no tomorrow. He is one of those players who can score boundaries and eye-pleasing cricketing sixes, which will make the audience go crazy. On the other hand, we have Arshdeep Singh, a young, talented bowler who gets important breakthroughs during matches. This battle is ripe and has a chance to convert into something big as Gaikwad has played 23 balls and scored 20 runs while Singh has taken his wicket twice. Skipper's plan against the mighty pacer will be fun to watch today.

2. Shivam Dube vs Kagiso Rabada:

Shivam

Another player from CSK who is in marvelous form is Shivam Dube. Until last year, Dube used to strike the spinners with ease and had a thing against the pacers. However, this year, he has become a different person who strikes the pacers elegantly. It's indeed a pleasure to watch him bat with sheer confidence. Kagiso Rabada is one of the most experienced players in the IPL and knows his game well. Regarding the battle, Shivam scored 33 runs in 27 balls, while Rabada dismissed him twice.

3. Jonny Bairstow vs Deepak Chahar:

Bairstow

Jonny Bairstow is one of those English batters who enjoys playing in the IPL. He has played some brilliant innings, which has helped his team win. Moreover, Deepak Chahar has been with CSK for a really long time and has now performed exceptionally well. However, this year, he is clearly out of form and will look to find his rhythm in the upcoming matches. While Bairstow has scored 23 runs in 22 balls, Deepak has taken his wicket only once.
