Chennai Super Kings snapped their two-game losing streak to post an easy 7-wicket win against KKR on Monday. Ruturaj Gaikwad and his team strolled to an easy win to beat the KKR side which had yet to lose a game so far.

Kolkata Knight Riders batted first and scored a mere 137/9 from their 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with 34 runs as Ravindra Jadeja did the damage with the ball. The CSK star picked 3/18 from four overs to dent the KKR batting unit.

Despite losing Rachin Ravindra early, the pair of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Daryl Mitchell played well. Chennai lost two more wickets but it was too little and too late for the visiting KKR side as the defending champs coasted to an easy win.

CSK vs KKR: Players' Ratings:

10- Shardul Thakur – 2/10

Playing his first IPL game of the season, Shardul Thakur showed the world that he was rusty. The 32-year-old bowled 3 overs and gave away 27 runs without picking a wicket.

9. MS Dhoni – 2/10

If any MS Dhoni is reading this, please look away right now. The former CSK skipper had a shocking game with the gloves as he dropped a simple catch to leave everyone stunned.

8. Sameer Rizvi – 2/10

The young batter didn’t get to show his power with the willow during the chase. Sameer Rizvi though fielded well and saved a few key runs for his side in the outfield.

7. Maheesh Theekshana – 3/10

The Sri Lankan Spinner bowled well and picked a solitary wicket of Ramandeep Singh. More would be expected out of him in the coming few weeks by CSK.

6. Rachin Ravindra – 4/10

Kiwi youngster Rachin Ravindra did the job at the top of the order with a quick 15 off 8 balls. The start was enough as the KKR bowlers threw in their towel while defending the small score.

5. Shivam Dube – 5/10

Left-handed batter Shivam Dube continued his sizzling form with the bat as he scored 28 runs from 18 balls. The knock contained just one four and three huge sixes as the cameo helped CSK overhaul the target with 14 balls to play.

4. Daryl Mitchell -5/10

After the early loss of Rachin Ravindra, the CSK fans may have been a bit nervous. Daryl Mitchell though dropped anchor and added 70 runs for the 2nd wicket with Gaikwad to help CSK win the game with ease.

3. Tushar Deshpande – 7/10

Fast bowler Tushar Deshpande seems to be back to his best with the ball. His 3/33 on Monday was one of his best showing with the ball for CSK. Deshpande stuck in the very first ball of the game to remove the dangerous Phil Salt to give KKR a huge jolt.

2. Mustafizur Rahman – 8/10

Despite missing the last game, the Bangladeshi seamer did well and took back the purple cap. The left-arm seamer bowled four overs and gave away just 22 runs and picked 2 wickets and also bowled well in the final over.

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad – 9/10

Finally, the CSK skipper showed his true form with the bat and scored his first 50 of the season. Ruturaj Gaikwad was not out on 67 runs from 58 balls with the help of 9 hits to the fence. His decisions on the field also won him a lot of appreciation from the experts.
