IPL 2024: LSG vs KKR Match 54- Top 5 worst performances

Lucknow Super Giants had to endure a huge loss by 98 runs against the marauding Kolkata Knights during their Indian Premier League 2024 encounter on Sunday. It was a great result for the visiting side as they totally decimated the LSG team. 

Sunil Narine once again was the best player on the park with 81 runs and also picking one wicket. It was a team effort from the KKR side as they now have overtaken Rajasthan Royals to go the summit position in the table. 

5. Arshin Kulkarni – 9 runs from 7 balls 

After being dismissed for a first ball duck, Arshin Kulkarni finally was able to get off the mark in the IPL. After hitting two fours, the youngster tried to hit across the line only for Ramandeep Singh to take the best of catch IPL 2024 to dismiss the batter for 9 runs. 

4. Krunal Pandya – 0/26 from 2 overs and 5 runs from 6 balls

It isn’t often that we witness Krunal Pandya having a bad game in the IPL. The 33-year-old was a relatively passive bystander with the ball as he was hit to all parts of the ground. Even with the bat he could only score 5 runs as he was dismissed by a short ball from Harshit Rana. 

3. Vaibhav Arora – 0/21 from 2 overs 

KKR pacer Vaibhav Arora had a forgettable day with the ball as he was carted for 21 runs from his 2 overs. Marcus Stoinis in particular took a special liking to his bowling and hit him all over the park to Arora’s night early.

2. KL Rahul – 25 runs from 21 balls 

Lucknow skipper KL Rahul failed to fire with the bat in a game where his team needed him the most. The 32-year-old could only score 25 runs from 21 balls as his slow batting at the start put his team under pressure. Just when he seemed like he was starting to find his groove his innings ended thanks to Harshit Rana. 

1. Yash Thakur -1/46 from 4 overs 

The injury to Mayank Yadav gave Yash Thakur a chance to comeback into the team. The right-arm pacer though failed to perform well and was expensive with the ball as he went for 46 runs from his 4 overs with just the wicket of Shreyas Iyer in the 20th over to show for.
