According to rumours, CSK fast bowler Deepak Chahar and LSG pacer Mayank Yadav have been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matches. Notably, both great seamers have suffered mid-season injuries, and their further participation in the marquee event seems doubtful. The great pacer sustained injuries in their last game against the Punjab Kings before delivering two balls in his first over in the game.

Meanwhile, the CEO of CSK confirmed that the sensational star has not been looking into good form; however, he clarified that as of now, he can't say he is ruled out but remains doubtful in the ongoing league. The side is set to play against PBKS in the next game, and Chahar has not travelled to Himachal Pradesh and has stayed in Chennai.

"Deepak injury is not looking good. I will not say he is ruled out of the season but doubtful. He has stayed back in Chennai. We're waiting for a report from the medical team.," Kasi Viswanathan, the CEO of Chennai Super Kings said of their new ball bowler, who pulled his hamstring.

CSK Coach Stephen Fleming revealed that they are waiting for a positive response from the doctors about Chahar's injury, as he does not look great at this moment.

"Deepak Chahar doesn't look good. (The) initial feeling wasn't great, so I'm hoping for a more positive report when the physio and doc have a look. We will know about their availability only on Sunday," CSK coach Stephen Flemming said.

Meanwhile, Mayank Yadav seems to be in awful form, as he also walked out of Lucknow's last game after bowling his 3.1 overs. However, sources have revealed that he is set to get BCCI's contract for a pace attack.

"He will soon be handed a pace bowling contract and once he is in BCCI Pathways structure, his growth will be systematically monitored. The national selection committee and the Indian team management would like to gradually blood him and ensure that he can maintain peak fitness," the source elaborated.
