Team India will be itching to get down to action as they get ready to play the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The Men in Blue will be playing all their games in Dubai as they weren’t allowed travel to Pakistan. This is the first time in six years, that India will be playing any ODI match in UAE. The last time India played a fifty over tournament in this part of the world was the 2018 Asia Cup which Rohit Sharma’s men won.

Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand will play India in their group phase matches of the tournament. The 2013 winners will want to start their tournament with a win against Bangladesh because the next two games are set to be tougher. Rohit’s men if they win their first two games will be hot favorites to qualify for the semi-finals. 

India vs Pakistan encounters were staple diet of cricket fans across the world. Most of the action that took place for three decades saw Sharjah play host to the grand spectacle in front of packed audience. After the two riveting contests in 2018, Dubai International cricket stadium will play host the massive India vs Pakistan encounter on 23rd February.

Current Pakistan coach Aaqib Javed famously picked 7/37 which included a hattrick and set a new world record for best bowling in ODI innings.

If we speak about the Dubai International cricket stadium, Team India hold the upper hand. Rohit Sharma’s side beat Pakistan in both the encounters during the 2018 Asia Cup. The first game saw Pakistan get bowled out for a low score which India chased down with ease. In the second game, Rohit Sharma scored a century and help India win the game with ease. 

The two sides have also play two ODI matches in Abu Dhabi, the record is even as the two-match series ended 1-1. The game which is to be played next Sunday is set to attract a large crowd and one can expect a blockbuster encounter. The likes of Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Kuldeep Yadav, and Shaheen Shah Afridi to name a few will be keen to show their wares in front of the world.
