India will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The most awaited clash will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Since 2022, India and Bangladesh have played five ODI matches, and India has won three games. Ahead of the match, Rohit Sharma & Co. will aim for a win to start their tournament on a good note.

Advertisment

On the other hand, Bangladesh is coming in with a defeat at the warm-up game against Pakistan. In recent times, the Bangladesh team faced a lot of criticism due to poor form in the ODI. With many retired stars like Shakib al Hasan, it will be very difficult for Bangladesh to win the match against a strong Indian side. The team will depend on the openers to give them a good start as India may give them a blow in the power-play overs. If they want to win the match, they will have to give everything to begin the tournament with a win. However, defeating India will boost the confidence of Bangladesh.

On the day of the match, Dubai's weather is predicted to be warm, dry, and partly cloudy. Dew is predicted to play a part as the game goes on, which could disadvantage the team bowling second. Rainfall in certain parts of Dubai on Tuesday, can have an impact on the weather today as well.

Pitch Report

The ground at Dubai International Stadium usually works in favor of seamers, giving pacers like Shami the ability and create movement. Throughout the competition, the Bangladesh pacer's variations will be useful. Given the surface tendency to support spinners in the second half of the game, the Indian team will most likely continue to start with their three spinners and two pacers Shami and Arshdeep.
