India scripted a famous victory against Australia in the 1st Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. Under captain Jasprit Bumrah, India beat the home team by a huge margin of 295 runs. The victory was much-needed for India after having a terrible Test series against New Zealand. With this win, they move one step ahead of qualifying for the WTC 2025 finals.

Australia are one of the best teams in the world and losing a Test match on the home soil is something unexpected from the team. Plus, Australia's winning streak in Perth breaks with this defeat. After four games, they have lost one game in the Optus Cricket Stadium, Perth. Before the Adelaide Test, Australia will have to answer a lot of questions to make a strong comeback in the 2nd Test match.

It was an inspirational performance from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli with the bat and skipper Bumrah with the ball. The skipper claimed eight wickets in the game and hence was given the Player of the Match award. Despite being the best, Bumrah has set new standards for the upcoming generation.

This win will be written in the cricket books and will be remembered for a long time. Travis Head tried to rescue the Australians but chasing 534 runs on day four wasn't an easy job. Siraj, Rana and Nitish Reddy were also brilliant throughout the innings, keeping it tight for the batters. Undoubtedly, Bumrah is the number-one bowler in the world.

If you have faith you can do something special: Jasprit Bumrah

Captaining the second game for India in Test cricket, Jasprit Bumrah scripted history for the country. India beat Australia by 295 runs, thanks to the skipper's outstanding bowling efforts. He was quite happy with the win and his performance. Bumrah gave credit to the boys for not losing their calm and playing really well throughout the four days.

"Very happy with the beginning. Were put under pressure in the beginning, but the way we responded after that - very proud. Played in 2018. It starts soft and then gets quicker. On a given day, experience does matter, but if you have faith you can do something special. Can't ask for anything else," said Jasprit Bumrah.
