India vs. Pakistan matches have always been high-intensity matches due to the years-long rivalries between the two teams. However, the ICC T20 World Cup 2022's 16th match between India and Pakistan was extremely overwhelming for not only the teams and their fans but for the entire world. In a game where Pakistan dominated in the 2nd innings, Virat Kohli emerged as India's saviour and snatched the game away from the men in green.
It was an unforgettable match for the Indians because Kohli had played an innings that nobody could believe, considering his form in the last two to three years. However, he did the unexpected thing with the help of Hardik Pandya, who constantly cheered and motivated Kohli from the other end.
India won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. The men in green could only manage to score 159 runs at the loss of eight wickets. It was a great bowing effort from the Indian bowlers, but special credit goes to Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya for taking three wickets each. Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed were the star batters who scored 52 and 51 runs, respectively. Apart from them, no other batter touched the 20-run mark.
Virat Kohli stole the show as well as the match
Against Pakistan, Virat Kohli becomes a different beast. He proved it once again after saving India from a disgraceful defeat against the men in green. When the batters came in to bat, four of them returned to the pavilion within six overs, with the score being just 31 runs. It was Kohli and Hardik Pandya who stood like pillars against bowlers like Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz. India needed 31 runs off 12 balls when Rauf walked into a bowl and Pandya was in the strike.

The communication among the batters was clear, and so he gave the strike to Kohli. In the fifth and sixth ball of the over, Kohli went down the ground and hit two massive and beautiful sixes off Rauf, which turned the entire course of the game. India needed 16 runs in the last over to gain a historic win. It wasn't as easy as Kohli had made it look. Even though the men in blue lost two wickets in the last over, Kohli made sure that he took the team past the victory line just like always, and hence, India won a last-ball thriller by four wickets.
