Mohammad Rizwan drops a sitter
Pakistan's dream of crushing Australia in their own backyard has been fulfilled as the hosts are bowled out for just 163 runs in 35 overs. Starting from Shaheen Shah Afridi to Haris Rauf, bowlers didn't give the batters enough time to settle down on the pitch and score runs. It was a thrilling game of cricket as Australian batters came and went back to the pavilion at regular intervals.
Captain Mohammad Rizwan changed the match from behind the stumps with his brilliant captaincy and fielding skills. He claimed six catches in the game and had the chance to create history by taking one more catch. However, he dropped one sitter of Adam Zampa in the 33rd over and missed his chance. Naseem Shah bowled a short delivery outside off, and Zampa tried to pull but edged it instead, and the ball went high up in the air.

It was an easy chance for Rizwan, but he dropped it and became frustrated. However, the Pakistan team's fielding effort was brilliant as they were active on the field. Rizwan, being the captain, set an example for the entire team by taking six catches. Pakistan now has to chase 164 runs, and if they do so, it will be an unforgettable match for the skipper.
Pakistan's domination in first ODI game against Australia
Even though Australia won the first game against Pakistan by two wickets, the visitors were brilliant throughout the game. The batters were a bit weak as they scored just 204 runs but the bowlers were on fire. Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi were on fire, claiming three and two wickets, respectively. Steven Smith and Josh Inglis' partnership saved the game for Australia.
None of the other batters could face the bowling wrath in their own backyard, which was the game's highlight. Nevertheless, Pat Cummins was quite happy after the match and applauded the teammates for a solid effort on the field. Australia would have lost the game if the score had been a bit high.
