Delhi Capitals (DC) bowler Vipraj got the key wickets of Josh Inglis and Prabhsimran Singh in the IPL 2025 game vs Punjab Kings. Australian wicketkeeper and batter Josh Inglis made his return to the side and scored 32 off 12 balls with three boundaries and two sixes. Vipraj bowled a ball down the leg side as Inglis charged down the wicket and wicketkeeper Tristan Stubbs whipped off the bails.
Prabhsimran Singh, batting on 28 runs, tried to play the scoop shot and lost his off-stump. The 24-year-old scored 28 off 18 balls with the help of four boundaries and a six. PBKS ended up with a massive total of 206 runs on the board from their 20 overs. Faf du Plessis had won the toss and chose to bowl first in DC’s last game of the season.
Mustafizur Rahman got the first wicket of the day when he dismissed Priyansh Arya for six runs. The second wicket stand between Josh Inglis and Prabhsimran Singh added 47 runs from 21 balls. Both batters took the attack to the DC bowlers in the powerplay overs.
Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis power PBKS to huge total
PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer and Nehal Wadhera added 41 runs for the fourth wicket in 28 balls. Wadhera was out after scoring run-a-ball 16 runs, which included one four. Mustafizur Rahman got his second when he dismissed Wadhera in the 13th over. Shreyas Iyer finally found some form with yet another masterful fifty.
The 30-year-old scored 53 off 34 balls with five boundaries and two sixes. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Iyer, caught by Mohit Sharma, in the 18th over. Marcus Stoinis gave the innings the finishing touches with his unbeaten 44, which came off 16 balls. The veteran Australian star hit three boundaries and four sixes in his knock.
Delhi Capitals’ best bowler was Mustafizur Rahman with figures of 3/33 from his four overs. Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets, while Mukesh Kumar got one wicket. Shreyas Iyer will be keen to win the game on Saturday and move to the top of the points table.
