Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lost Virat Kohli in the second over of the game in the 14th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Kohli, was batting on seven runs to Mohammad Arshad Khan who had come into the game for Kagiso Rabada. The left-arm pacer bowled a short ball that Kohli pulled.

The ball traveled straight into the hands of Prasidh Krishna who didn’t have to move an inch to take the catch. The massive crowd which had come to watch the game were stunned into complete silence. RCB’s former skipper had to make his way back to the hut for just seven runs from six balls with one hit to the fence.

Mohammed Siraj playing against his former side nearly got the wicket of Phil Salt off his first ball of the game. The catch though didn’t carry to Sai Kishore who was standing at square leg region. In the very next ball, Kohli played a sumptuous cover drive to get the home fans going. 

Arshad Khan then struck with the wicket of Kohli, as Devdutt Padikkal came out to bat in the second over. The left-handed batter got off the mark with a four as shoddy piece of work at point region saw the catch being dropped and the ball heading for a boundary. The wicket of Kohli came at the right time as the former RCB skipper has been in good form with the bat recently. 

RCB are at the top of the table having won both their games so far. Gujarat Titans on the other hand came into the game having beaten Mumbai Indians in their last encounter. Rajat Patidar and his side have been at the top of the table with the bat and ball during the current season of IPL.
