The debate of who the better captain in India is will remain a trend forever. This time, India's former head coach, Ravi Shastri, has chosen to speak on the debatable topic of who is better, Rohit Sharma or MS Dhoni. The former batter gave a perfect diplomatic reply, saying, 'Both are on par.' While many cricket experts refuse to answer such questions, Shastri didn't hesitate.

"If you ask me who's better, I'd say both are on par when it comes to tactics in the white-ball game. I can't pay a bigger compliment to Rohit than that because you know what MS (Dhoni) has done and the titles he has won. Rohit is not far behind and I thought tactically he was just outstanding in this year's (T20) World Cup," said Ravi Shastri on the ICC Review.

There is Virat Kohli, who has been brilliant as a captain. Even though he remained trophyless during his captaincy stint, he did pretty well in the red-ball cricket. His motivation and enthusiasm on the field inspired the youngsters to seize every opportunity that came their way. Undoubtedly, all three captains have contributed to the growth of Indian cricket, and now it's time for young guns to take the legacy ahead.

We will keep in our mind what we want to achieve: Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is known as someone who gives straightforward answers during press conferences. During the conference in Sri Lanka, Rohit spoke confidently about what this series means to them and unlike others are presuming it to be a practice match ahead of Champions Trophy 2025, the team is considering it as an International series and nothing else.

“You get asked a lot whether this series is a preparation for the World Cup, or is this a preparation for the Champions Trophy, it's not a practice ground - it's still an international game. We will keep in our mind what we want to achieve, but this is by no means preparation or practice or anything like that. We want to come here and play good cricket and get something out of the series.” said Rohit Sharma during the press conference.
