Australia captain Pat Cummins is known for his fearless warnings, which he started before the ODI World Cup in 2023 and continues to this day. Ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024, Cummins has given another warning to the star pacer of India, Jasprit Bumrah. India will travel to Australia to play the 5-match Test series, during which Bumrah's role will be crucial. He's the senior-most bowler on the team and has lots of experience.

"I'm a big fan of Bumrah. I think he's a fantastic bowler. Hopefully, if we can keep him quiet, that is going to go a long way to winning the series. Alongside him, he has got some other guys who haven't played a lot over here in Australia (that) we haven't seen a lot of. We'll see how it goes," Cummins said on the Star Sports.

This is the main reason why Cummins wants to quieten the player, which will create pressure on the Indian team. However, Rishabh Pant will be there in the series who doesn't stop talking or hitting the bowlers, which is a positive sign for the Indian team. Australia haven't laid their hands on the trophy for a decade now and are desperate to take the trophy home.

Rohit Sharma to miss 1st Test match in Australia

Australia will be looking forward to hosting the Indian team for a 5-match Test series. Much to everyone's surprise, captain Rohit Sharma is likely to miss the opening game due to some personal reasons. As per reports, Rohit won't be available for the 1st Test match in Perth, where Jasprit Bumrah will take on the captaincy.

Meanwhile, the Board hasn't confirmed the news yet. Moreover, India will be looking to keep up their record against the Aussies in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. The batters have done really well in the previous series and will be looking forward to continuing the same in the upcoming series as it's crucial.
