ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Sports Info's probable 15-member squad for Team India

The T20 World Cup 2024 is down the corner and the teams are excited about it as this time more teams are included and the tournament will be fun for them. The tournament will start on June 2, however, India's first match is on June 5. As the tournament is in the USA and West Indies, India will focus on the quality of cricket and their tactics towards approaching new teams. India is in group A including Pakistan, Canada, USA and Ireland. All the matches will be intriguing to watch but the match against Pakistan will be a good watch for the viewers for their years-old rivalry.

Moreover, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hasn't released the squad of India yet as they are keeping an eye on the players during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). After the first half of the IPL, the Board will release the list. Hence, players who want a place in the squad will have to work hard to see themselves in the Indian jersey. Also, Rohit Sharma's captaincy in the tournament was confirmed by the BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

1. Rohit Sharma (c) 

Captain of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma is set to take responsibility for the team yet again. He's one of the best batters and an efficient captain in India and there can be no other player who can lead the team better than him at this moment. He is an expert in shot selections and the kind of starts he gives the team in the power play helps them to set a decent target on the scoreboard. His experience will also add value to the team's atmosphere and will encourage the youngsters to perform well. 

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal 

India's youngster, Yashasvi Jaiswal is a talented batter who has the ability to turn matches with his batting skills. Currently, he's the best option as an opener alongside Rohit as both of their gameplay are quite similar and they complement each other really well. From his batting, it's unrecognisable that he's just 22 years old as he plays maturely and responsibly. Having him as an opener will be extremely handy for the team. 

3. Virat Kohli 

Virat Kohli is set to play yet another World Cup as a top-order batter for India. Like always, he'll have the responsibility of the entire batting order if by chance they fail to perform in any match. Moreover, because of his batting and playing under pressure skills, he saves the team whenever they are in danger. In T20I, he is the highest run-getter with 4008 runs in 107 innings at an average of 52.73 and a strike rate of 137.96. Undoubtedly, he's the greatest player in the World. 

4. Sanju Samson(wk) 

Sanju Samson should be the first preference for the team when it comes to wicket-keeping. He is not only a good batter, but also a very good keeper who has years of experience in keeping. He's the best choice for the team as he is an experienced batter and has a pretty record in T20s as well. Moreover, he's consistently scoring runs in the IPL and in the domestic leagues as well. Hence, he might be a good choice as a keeper-batter. 

5. Suryakumar Yadav

Known as Mr. 360, Surya Kumar Yadav has the ability to play shots all over the ground. He can turn matches with his quick batting and hence, is an important player in the middle-order. More than anything, he's a reliable batter on whom the team can depend. Moreover, in the previous T20 World Cup, he scored 239 runs in six matches at an awesome strike rate of 189.68. Thus, his inclusion is beneficial for the team. 

6. Hardik Pandya

India's current best all-rounder, Hardik Pandya is a great player who can support the team with the bat and the ball. He's also the vice-captain of the team who can play at any given point. His contributions are always helpful and India will want him to be in his prime form in both batting and bowling for the team to succeed in the World Cup. 

7. Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh is another best option for India in the World Cups because of his current form. Rinku has performed in almost all the matches he has played for the team and currently is having a good time in the IPL. Even though he's a young player, he has the strength and mental power in himself to perform well whenever the team needs him. He's the best finisher India can have in the T20 World Cup this year. 

8. Ravindra Jadeja

Another world-class all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja is one great asset to the team ahead of the T20 World Cup. His inclusion in the team makes the lower batting order and the spin department strong. Since Jadeja is also an experienced player, he will add balance to the team and can help India win matches. He is one of the most vital players of the team and Rohit will look to use his full potential in the World Cup. 

9. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is the star bowler of India and he has shown some maturity in bowling throughout the years. He is one of those players who learn from their mistakes and incorporate them into real life. He has evolved over the years and has turned out to be the best bowler for the team. India can expect him to take up the responsibility of the team along with the other bowlers. 

10. Jasprit Bumrah

Undoubtedly, Jasprit Bumrah is going to lead the bowling attack of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup. He's currently the best bowler in India who is capable enough to give important breakthroughs whenever it's required. Moreover, because of his experience, the youngsters will get a chance to learn from him throughout the tournament. In T20I, his record is exceptional as he has taken 74 wickets in 61 innings at an amazing economy of 6.55.

11. Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh is a good option for India in the T20 World Cup because he has the capability to take wickets at regular intervals. He doesn't let the batters settle down and creates confusion with his bowling. He has perfect lines, lengths and variations which will help the team during the tournament. 

12. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav is a spin wizard for India who can be a good addition to the team. His bowling is quite good and he also can get important breakthroughs for the team. Moreover, with Jadeja, he'll be a good option in the Caribbean tracks as they are quite spinner-friendly. If given a chance, Yadav might turn out to be an asset to the team. 

13. Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube's current form and his performance recently might get him a chance to be a part of the squad for the World Cup. In the IPL, he's in red-hot form and also an awesome player of spin. Since the tracks of West Indies might favour the spinners, Dube's inclusion might be beneficial for the team as he is undoubtedly the best player of spin in India.

14. Rishabh Pant(wk)

Coming back from injury after a year, Risbhah Pant's performance is still the same. He's still the weird shot player who loves hitting the bowlers well. He can play some good shots as well as some weird ones which no one can understand. Moreover, he loves going after the bowlers which makes them nervous and gives the batter a chance to score more. Also, keeping his amazing keeping skills in mind, his inclusion in the team might be confirmed. 

15. Axar Patel/Yuzuvendra Chahal

Axar Patel is also a handy bowler who might get a chance in the World Cup. His tactics and bowling experience will be extremely helpful for the team, especially in the West Indies. In T20I, he has taken 47 wickets and 361 runs in 51 T20Is. Apart from being a helpful bowler, he's an amazing batter as well who can provide depth in the batting order. 

Yuzvendra Chahal has been a consistent wicket-taker in recent times. In IPL and domestic leagues, he has given important breakthroughs to the team whenever necessary and will be a good fit in the team. His spin bowling becomes mysterious at times and the batters fail to face him. Hence, his inclusion will benefit the team in the long run.
