RCB has not been in a good run of form so far in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 as they have lost three of their four matches played so far, with only one win to their name. A lot of cricket experts and former cricketers have been critical of the strategy and performance of RCB in the current season of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the former Indian pacer Atul Wassan came up with a very shocking and blunt statement while expressing his views about RCB’s performances in the IPL since the inception of the tournament 16 years back in 2008.

To support his statement, the former pacer gave an unexpected opinion about former RCB captain and the modern-day batting great Virat Kohli, alongside the latter’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma.

“I want RCB to lose all the matches and end at the bottom of the points table; Virat Kohli has been there in a setup since 2008, there've been a lot of coaches of RCB but he never took his coach [Rajukumar Sharma] to RCB, so that’s why I always want RCB to lose,” said Atul Wassan to Indian Sports Fans Founder Sunil Kalra during a live tv show on India News.

Speaking of RCB’s dismal run in the current Indian Premier League 2024, they played their first game in the tournament opener against the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings; in this match, the Faf du Plessis-led RCB lost to CSK by 6 wickets. Later, they registered a win by 4 wickets against PBKS at the home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. It is still the only win for RCB in the ongoing IPL 2024 so far.

Following the win against the Punjab Kings, the Red and Gold outfits faced two consecutive defeats against KKR and LSG, respectively.
