The world admires former India captain Virat Kohli for all the things he has achieved for the country. He has played some solid knocks and helped India win multiple series, including the T20 World Cup 2024. Even though Kohli is a good player, he was a great captain. India reached a different height in Test cricket thanks to his attacking captaincy against strong teams like Australia and England.

Speaking about Kohli and his heroics, UK's former Prime Minister David Cameron praised him for his performance for the country. He compared Kohli to Ben Stokes and said that both are great leaders and have achieved a lot with their spirit of the game.

"I think in Virat Kohli, you had an extraordinary leader. Sometimes, you can see, as we have done with Ben Stokes as our captain, just incredible captaincy on the field and inspiration. I think you had that with Virat Kohli. So lots of great cricket players to watch. Some great British-Indian players coming through. In the years to come, you will see many British-Indian players coming through and taking on India and hopefully winning," said the former British Prime Minister.

Virat Kohli’s glittering CV now includes being a part of two of India’s three lowest-ever scores: Michael Atherton

England's former cricketer Michael Atherton took a dig at the Indian team and Virat Kohli after they were bowled out on 46 runs in the first innings of the 1st Test match against New Zealand. Atherton said that this was one of the lowest scores of India, and Kohli was a part of both games. The performance was extremely disappointing and affected the game in the end. India did pick up in the 2nd innings but still couldn't score much.

Michael Atherton said “India’s 46 all out in the first Test against New Zealand came only four years after their lowest-ever score, 36 all out against Australia in Adelaide. India’s batsmen plumbed the depths again before the previous embarrassment had slipped from memory. Virat Kohli’s glittering CV now includes being a part of two of India’s three lowest-ever scores”
