Australia's veteran spinner Nathan Lyon opened up about the pressure he faced after succeeding legendary spinner Shane Warne in the Australian team. While talking to Sky Cricket, Lyon expressed the feeling of being compared with the former leg-spinner even after playing 129 Tests for Australia. The veteran player has been a go-to spinner for Australia against solid teams like India and England and has done quite well in red-ball cricket.

Lyon also mentioned that after a certain point, he realized the pressure is nothing less than a privilege and he has become comfortable with it. He said, "I still feel in the shadow of Shane Warne now, and I'm 129 Test matches in with 530 wickets. The thing is, I'm happy with that, and I'm comfortable with that now. A lot of us felt the pressure of Shane Warne's shadow... and it probably took me a good five, six, seven years to understand that pressure is a privilege. And if you've got pressure, you're OK, you're doing OK, enjoy it."

Lyon has played 129 Test matches and has taken 530 wickets so far which is a huge achievement. He has been a consistent player and has never disappointed the team in the process. Now that all the important series are coming up, Lyon is excited and eagerly waiting to showcase his talent on the field.

Australia to play 5-match ODI series against England

After a terrific T20I series against England that ended in a draw, Australia are up to another challenge. They'll be playing a 5-match ODI series against England, starting on September 19. In the absence of Jos Buttler, who will be missing out on the series due to an injury in the right calf, Harry Brook will be captaining the Three Lions with some experienced players like Jofra Archer, Ben Duckett, and Reece Topley by his side.

However, the rest half of the English squad is filled with newcomers, and hence, will be tricky for Brook to handle them. On the other hand, the Aussies haven't declared their team yet and will mostly announce it before 2-3 days of the game. It will be interesting to see their team as most of the senior players are expected to feature in the series.

England ODI squad: Harry Brook (captain), Jofra Archer, Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Jamie Smith, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, John Turner.
