Chennai Super Kings (CSK) former captain MS Dhoni opens up about the PR game that is going around these days. People have often criticized him for having a good PR team that covered up his image in public. However, the player came up with a reply to stop the trollers from assuming things.
"I have never been a big fan of Social Media - throughout I have had different managers - I started playing in 2004, Twitter was almost got popular slightly later on then Instagram came - all the managers are like we should some PR, build this, build that so I looked at all and told the same answer, if I play good cricket, I don't need PR," said MS Dhoni.
Dhoni passed on his captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and continued to play as a wicketkeeper batter. Gaikwad led the team really well in the tournament but failed to reach the playoffs. However, he's a great player and has the potential to do wonders as a captain.
There is so much depth in Indian cricket I won't worry too much: Darren Lehmann
Former Australian batter Darren Lehmann spoke about the future of the Indian cricket team without the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The seniors haven't performed really well in the recent past, and the talks of their retirement are going around. Amidst that, since the Indian team has young talented players, the former batter isn't worried much.
"Look whenever they [Rohit and Kohli] decide to give it away and whatever happens in next few days they have been great players for India over a long period of time. Now actually we see younger players starting to step up for India and play well at next level. There is so much depth in Indian cricket I won't worry too much," said Darren Lehmann.
