The Australian crowd have always been crude to the legendary batter Virat Kohli since the start of his career. This time, they have booed him for doing the shoulder-barge to Sam Konstas during the fourth Test match at MCG. On the first day of the game, when Konstas was attacking Jasprit Bumrah, Kohli intentionally barged into him, instigating the fight. Since then, the player has been under criticism from various experts.

Standing with Kohli, former English batter Mark Nicholas bashed the Australian crowd for booing the cricketer who has achieved a lot in his career. Kohli is one of the best batters across formats but has been struggling with his form.

"I didn’t like Virat Kohli getting booed when he entered the playing area. I agreed he was wrong when he shouldered the young Australian cricketer, because it was his first game, and with all the experience in the world, Virat should have avoided that. However, we can’t forget that Virat is one of the greatest ambassadors of Test cricket, and he deserves respect. You can’t do that with one of the greatest," said Mark Nicholas on Star Sports.

India's struggling innings come to an end on 185

Skipper Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and decided to bat first. Soon after the Indian batters came to bat, Bumrah might have regretted his decision. The pitch had lush green grass on it, making it perfect for bowling. This led to India's batting lineup collapse in the first innings.

The highest score was made by Rishabh Pant, who scored 40 runs in 98 balls. None of the batters scored a half-century in the innings, throwing away wickets unnecessarily. However, Bumrah came in at the end and scored 22 runs in 17 balls, including three boundaries and one six.
