India are waiting for the cricket team to return to give them a victory lap. However, this isn't becoming possible because of Hurricane Beryl, which has made travelling impossible in Barbados. The team will be heading towards Delhi on June 2 from Barbados on a special flight arranged by BCCI amidst the Hurricane alert.

The Indian team had to stay inside their hotel rooms on June 1 due to the landfall the Hurricane was supposed to make in Barbados. Moreover, India will reach Delhi by 7:45 pm on Wednesday, July 3.

"We hope, and we're working towards later today. I don't want to speak in advance of it, but I've literally been in touch with the airport personnel and they're doing their last checks now and we want to resume to normal operations as a matter of urgency," said Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley.

A good player knows when to say goodbye to the game: Jay Shah

The BCCI Secretary Jay Shah praised the players for their performance in the T20 World Cup 2024. Moreover, he also applauded Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja for announcing their retirement right on time and letting the young generation take on the T20Is. The journey has been quite memorable but to bid farewell to the legends was difficult for everyone.

"Experience makes a lot of difference. In World Cups, you can't experiment much also. A good player knows when to say goodbye to the game, we saw that yesterday. You look at Rohit's strike rate, it is better than a lot of young players," said Jay Shah.
