‘He's probably the best…’ - Former India batter Gautam Gambhir praises MS Dhoni on his birthday; video went viral

It is often seen that former India batter Gautam Gambhir has always been against ex-skipper MS Dhoni and his multiple statements on various occasions have clarified that. However, on MS Dhoni’s 43rd birthday, Star Sports released a video where Gambhir was seen praising MS Dhoni for his performance and his captaincy skills. He also pointed out the brilliant efforts put by Dhoni behind winning the three ICC trophies.

“Lot's of captains will come and go but it will be hard to match MS Dhoni's record for the Indian team. You can become number 1 in Tests, you can win overseas matches. But to lift two ICC World Cups and one Champions Trophy, there is no bigger achievement than this. He's probably the best captain India has ever had,” said Gautam Gambhir.

Winning one single trophy after Dhoni left the captaincy became a huge deal for India. MS Dhoni has done a lot of things and set a bar as a captain for the upcoming generation. Finally, Rohit Sharma managed to win the trophy after a wait of 11 years. Now that the next tournaments are in a few months, the next target would be the WTC Finals and the Champions Trophy 2025.

Dhoni is a very mischievous person: Irfan Pathan

MS Dhoni’s birthday is nothing less than a festival for his fans. This time, Star Sports decided to get a video of his old teammates and talk to them about the stalwart. Irfan Pathan, his India and CSK teammate revealed what kind of a person Dhoni was while he was playing and also termed him as ‘mischievous’.

“When I met him in 2004 during a match with the India A. He pulled a bouncer of my ball and I understood this batsman is special. We used to laugh about a lot of things. People don't know this but MS Dhoni is a very mischievous person,” said Irfan Pathan.
