Australia's wicket keeper batter Alex Carey opened up about Mitchell Starc's injury in the fourth Test match against India. In the ongoing BGT 2024 series, Starc was having a bit of discomfort during the fourth Test match while bowling. While speaking about him, Carey showed confidence on the player and said 'he'll push through.' Starc was quite effective during the Test series and his absence will be beneficial for India.

"He'll be fine. He'll push through. I've played with Starcy for a long time now, and [he's] one of the toughest cricketers I've played with. He'll grimace, he'll grab his rib no doubt, but he'll be ready for the contest. I thought the first spell [in the second innings] without the reward was some of the best bowling I've seen this series from him," said Alex Carey.

Starc has been consistent about his performance alongside captain Pat Cummins. Both the bowlers have wreaked havoc on the Indian batters. Even Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland were amazing with their performance as well. Hence, they'll definitely look to do the same in the last game of the series.

'I thought McSweeney and Khawaja got us through tough situations'

The wicketkeeper batter heaped praises on Nathan McSweeney Usman Khawaja for batting well in the tough situations for Australia. He also spoke about Sam Konstas and how everybody is happy for the player and his performance in the team. Konstas made 60 runs in 65 balls in his debut Test match and also attacked Jasprit Bumrah. This will be the highlight of the game.

"I thought Nathan [McSweeney] and Usman [Khawaja] got us through tough situations as well by facing lots of balls. Sam was able to score a little bit, so hopefully, another opportunity in front of his home fans," said Alex Carey during an interview.
