Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have now become the stalwarts in the Indian cricket team where every young player respects them and looks up to them. Finally, they have won the T20 World Cup together and retired happily from the shortest format of the game. Talking about these legendary players, India's prime pacer Jasprit Bumrah said that even though Kohli is still not the captain, everybody thinks of him as a leader.

"Virat Kohli is still a leader in the team, he might not be the captain. Rohit Sharma makes youngsters feel there's no junior and seniors in the team. He doesn't let them think that this is not their team. He always makes them feel that they're a very important part of this team," said Jasprit Bumrah as quoted by Indian Express.

Rohit and Kohli return to the ODI team for the upcoming Sri Lanka series, which will start on August 2. The Hit-Man is ready to take charge of the Indian team in the upcoming series, and Shubman Gill will be his deputy. It will be a 3-match series where India will look forward to smashing the bowlers.

My role does not change much as a batter: Shubman Gill

India's new vice-captain, Shubman Gill, is the new promising cricketer the management looks up to. He has been made the vice-captain of the team in white-ball cricket, which was a major change in Indian cricket. While analyzing his own batting, Gill said he isn't satisfied with his own batting and will want to improve in the upcoming time.

"Going forward, in the upcoming cycle, we have about 30-40 T20Is, and I would hope we improve on our

performance as a team and I can improve as a player. My role does not change much as a batter. When I am a batter, I still need to perform and win matches for my country. But when you are on the field, you need to make more decisions compared to when you are playing as a player," said Shubman Gill as quoted by ICC.
