Skipper Rohit Sharma cleared the air on the uncapped player's selection and also mentioned why the others weren't selected. "Tanush Kotian played here in Australia played a month back. Kuldeep, I don't think he has a visa, and he is not 100% fit. Axar had a baby recently. Tanush is ready; we really want a backup in case we need two spinners here or Sydney. Tanush has shown what he's capable of," said Rohit at the press conference.

After a draw in the third Test match, India will be looking forward to taking a lead in the Boxing Day Test match, scheduled to start on December 26 in Melbourne. Australian batters are in solid form, and they'll look forward to taking advantage of the situation.

Virat Kohli is a Modern-day Great: Rohit Sharma

Ahead of the 4th Test match, team India has an issue with the form of the batters. Senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are struggling with their forms. During the press conference, Rohit was questioned about Kohli and his issue with scoring runs in the ongoing series, to which he sided with the player, saying, "He's a modern-day great."

"Virat Kohli is a modern-day great. He will figure it out on his form & how to score runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal is coming here in Australia for the first time & shown what he's capable of. When you have a guy like him, you want to let him be," said Rohit at the presser.
