Brett Lee, who was once a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team, praised Gautam Gambhir for his amazing efforts and dedication towards the team. When he was a player, he had an immense winning spirit within him that helped him win so many tournaments and matches for India. Lee talked about what kind of a person Gambhir is during an interview with the Times of India.
"Gautam Gambhir has done a terrific job every time he's had an opportunity. The IPL title with KKR is the best example. He has been a terrific player, and his aggression and winning attitude will help India. India is in safe hands with Gautam Gambhir as coach," said Brett Lee, as quoted by Times of India.
Now, Gambhir has been appointed as the head coach of the Indian Cricket team and will start his tenure in the Sri Lanka series, starting on July 26. BCCI has not announced the names of the other support staff who will join Gambhir's team. It was Gambhir's idea to have a new team who'll be working with him in his tenure.
