Virat Kohli's struggle in red-ball cricket has been going on for a long time now. Despite scoring a century in the first Test match, his performance was below average in the second. Amid criticism for being inconsistent in the series, Kohli will have a lot of pressure on himself to score runs in the upcoming games. Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar defended Kohli and said that he might score 'four centuries' in the series.

"If he scores a century in Brisbane, it will be great. It's an incentive as well, as you know that you join a club if you score a century in Brisbane, the one to score a century everywhere in Australia. After that, going forward, he will play in Melbourne and Sydney, where he has scored centuries. So he can score centuries there as well. It means he can score four centuries in the series," said Sunil Gavaskar.

This Test match will also be a difficult period for Rohit Sharma, who is having a tough time with his performance. Despite dropping his batting performance, Rohit still couldn't score runs in the second game, which was a downfall for the player. He will try to play well in the upcoming games to avoid controversies.

Runs will definitely be scored: Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar also mentioned the trick where Virat Kohli can improve his game and stop getting out on off-stump balls. Kohli has been facing this issue for a while, and Gavaskar pointed out the area of concern for him to improve. This will be an important game for the player in terms of performance.

"With the slight problem he is having around the off-stump, which is the case for every batter, but the line and length Australia stick to against him, if he plays that slightly carefully, runs will definitely be scored," added Gavaskar.
