'He asked me for an autograph of Virat' - Australian PM spoke about Virat Kohli's fan following in country after meeting cricketers ahead of 2nd Test match

PM had a chat with Star Sports, where he revealed that his personal doctor is a huge Virat Kohli fan and wanted his autograph.

Virat Kohli has quite a huge fanbase in the world and Australian PM Anthony Albanese confirmed it. After the 1st Test match, India went to Canberra to meet Australia's PM ahead of the 2nd Test match where Kohli had a brief interaction with the players. After that, PM had a chat with Star Sports, where he revealed that his personal doctor is a huge Virat Kohli fan and wanted his autograph.

Australian PM said, "When I told my  personal doctor that I'm gonna meet Virat Kohli, he just couldn't believe it. He asked me for an autograph of Virat. He's a huge Kohli fan". 

Kohli scored a staggering century against the mighty Aussies in the first Test. He scored 100 runs in 143 balls. This century was his 31st in Test cricket and 81st in international cricket. The cricket world was waiting for his century which came at the most perfect time. 

India went on to beat Australia by a huge margin of 295 runs, raising their hopes of qualifying for the World Test Championship finals. Now, they have to win three games to book their seats in the finals. 

India won warm-up game against Australia's PM XI

Before the start of the Pink ball Test match from December 6, the Indian lads had a warm-up game against the Australian PM XI which was a two day affair but was shortened due to rain. The game was reduced to 46 overs per side where India clinched victory. PM XI scored 240 runs in the first innings while India beat them by six wickets. 

Sam Konstas scored a blistering 107 runs in 97 balls and Hanno Jacobs scored 61 runs in 60 balls. Harshit Rana was in full form as he claimed four wickets. For India, Shubman Gill scored a half-century while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 45 runs in 59 balls. Skipper Rohit Sharma failed to impress as he went back after scoring just three runs. This was a preparation for the Pink ball Test match in which India struggles a lot.
