India's former cricketer Harbhajan Singh bashed the current Pakistan team ahead of their clash against India in the Champions Trophy 2025. As per the former player, Pakistan had a star-studded team before and had the match-winning spirit in them. However, this current team doesn't have the required unity within themselves, which is not good for the game.
"Haven't seen such a Pakistan team in years. When we used to play Pakistan, there was always a feeling that the opposition could beat you because they had star players, power-packed performers, bowling was very good and the unity showed. This (current) team may have players who can win a game on their own, but that unity isn't evident," said Harbhajan Singh on a news channel.
The rivalry between India and Pakistan has always been top-notch ever since they started playing. The last time they met at the Champions Trophy 2017, India lost the finals against Pakistan. Hence, the upcoming game between the two teams will be interesting to watch. Players from both teams are in red-hot form, which will make the game contesting.
I don't see that in this team: Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan went on to talk about the team and how they should be together during the games. Also, Pakistan doesn't have any match winners who can win a trophy in the current team.
"They have individuals who can win a game on their day. But a team should have 7-8 such players who can win you the championship. I don't see that in this team. No doubt you won in 2017 when Fakhar Zaman played that big innings. But somewhere, I think, there is a lot of difference now from the days when India and Pakistan used to be nicely balanced teams. Now India is ahead of Pakistan," said Harbhajan Singh.
