After establishing the record for the most wickets in a single Ranji Trophy edition, Dubey recently scripted history. He got 69 wickets from 10 games in the 2024–25 First Class Tournament at an economy rate of 2.66. He even recorded seven five-wicket hauls and two 10-wicket hauls. As a result of his incredible performance, Vidarbha won the Ranji championship for the third time.

In February, at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, they defeated Kerala in the final.  At an economy rate of 7.50, Dubey claimed just four wickets from six games in the preceding Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In addition to his nine half-centuries in first-class and List A cricket, the Maharashtra native has a career-high score of 76.  Ravichandran was originally brought in to replace Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa, who participated in two games before suffering an injury that kept him out of action.

Sunrisers Hyderabad got thin chance to qualify for playoffs

Ahead of the SRH game against DC, Harsh Dubey is likely to make his debut. So far, SRH bowlers are not performing well, and adding him to the team can be a game-changer for the team. As the top four spot is still open for the team, a change in the playing XI might work for them. Sunrisers Hyderabad still have a thin chance of getting into the playoffs.

The team needs to win the game and needs others team to lose some matches. With six points SRH are in ninth place, while their net run rate is worst among the other teams. SRH are playing today against Delhi Capitals. It will be a home game for SRH and team will need to win the game, in order to stay alive. DC hopes to win the game and get closer to the playoff qualification.
