English youngster Harry Brook is back to playing cricket after pulling out of IPL 2024 due to personal issues. This left the Delhi Capitals short of a main player who is being looked at as the future of the game.

On Monday the young batter scored a blistering ton for his Yorkshire side while playing against Leicestershire. The century for Harry Brook came off just 69 balls as he announced his return to the game in style.

It is to be noted that Harry Brook also missed the Indian tour where England lost the Test series with a 4-1 margin. Delhi Capitals meanwhile have named Lizaad Williams as the replacement player for Harry Brook.

Yorkshire exhibited the Baz-Ball brand of cricket as Harry Brook scored his century from just 69 balls. The right-handed batter got to his ton from just 69 balls before the innings was declared. His knock contained 14 fours and two sixes as Yorkshire declared at 264/6.

Former opener Adam Lyth also played a brisk innings to score 101 off 100 balls with 17 fours and 2 sixes. Harry Brook didn’t look troubled as he smashed every bowler to all parts of the ground. Delhi Capitals were rocked just before the IPL because Harry Brook had pulled out. This left the team management and the DC fans angry as the decision came just days before the season could begin.

Rishabh Pant and his side are bottom of the table so far and lost their previous game to Mumbai Indians on Sunday. Mitchell Marsh has joined the injured list as he is expected to miss the next few games due to an injury to his hamstring.

Lizaad Williams is set to link up with the Delhi Capitals side in the next few days. The South African bowler is known to be quick and also has a deadly Yorker. Meanwhile, Harry Brook will be looking to continue his good run of form as the English side is set to face a busy summer.

Jos Buttler will also have his eyes on Brook as the T20 World Cup is just a few months away. The form of the right-handed batter will be crucial if the England team has to defend its crown.
