Pakistan's star cricketer, Haris Rauf, has reacted to a video of himself and some unidentified men that recently went viral on social media. Notably, the right-arm pacer tweeted that he was open to "feedback from the public" but that he would "respond accordingly" if the criticism became rude and his family were targeted.

The video in question shows the 30-year-old cricketer speaking to a few people with his wife, and then soon after, he rushes across a hedge towards the group despite the man wanting to stop him. However, following that, Rauf walks back across the hedge to his wife after some yelling and screaming. This fight shows Pakistani fans have become quite frustrated and enraged in both the US and at home over their team's lacklustre showing in the T20 World Cup.

Following the same, former Pakistani cricketers and fans have called for Captain Babar Azam to be sacked from his position owing to his lack of ability to keep up teamwork as well as set a positive example for the squad. Interestingly, the 29-year-old cricketer was appointed captain of the Pakistan white-ball team again by the Pakistan Cricket Board after stepping down from the position following the 2023 ODI World Cup debacle. The left-arm pacer assumed over as team captain in his place; however, he only played one series.

It is important to show respect towards people and their families: Haris Rauf

"I decided to not bring this to social media, but now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation," said Rauf in a post on 'X'.

He further added, "As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions."
