Former Indian star Harbhajan Singh has slammed Pakistani journalist Farid Khan on social media platform X. Farid Khan is known to make outlandish comments and statements and he did the same recently.

Farid Khan taking to X asked, “MS Dhoni or Mohammad Rizwan? Who is better tell me honestly”. This caused a massive furore not only in India but also many of Pakistani fans slammed Farid Khan over this question.

Harbhajan Singh taking to X replied to the Pakistani scribe and wrote “What r u smoking nowadays???? What a silly question to ask. Bhaiyo isko batao. DHONI bhut aage hai RIZWAN se. Even if u will ask Rizwan he will give u an honest answer for this. I like Rizwan, he is good player who always plays with intent..but this comparison is wrong. DHONI No. 1 even today in world cricket. None better thn him behind stumps”

Pakistani players denied NOC to play in Global T20

The Pakistan Cricket Board has denied NOCs to Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi to play in the Global T20 tournament in Canada. Just a few days earlier PCB had declined the NOC to star pacer Naseem Shah to take part in the 100 league.

One source as cited by ESPNCRICINFO had said “It should be remembered that between August 2024 and March 2025, the Pakistan cricket team has to play nine Tests of the ICC World Test Championship, the ICC Champions Trophy, 14 ODIs and nine T20Is. All three cricketers play all three formats and Pakistan will need their services in the next eight months."

MS Dhoni is currently enjoying a break after being part of the IPL 2024 campaign with Chennai Super Kings. The former India skipper is yet to decide on his future as the speculation grows about his playing status next year.

Ace Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra recently spoke about the cricket craze in India during a chat with SportStar. “At the Doha Diamond League, I was asked how popular I was in India. I never tried to compare myself with the likes of Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni because I am well aware of the reality of who I am in India.”

Neeraj Chopra also said “Yes, obviously after the Olympics, people recognize me a lot more. But, I know there is a stark difference in my popularity compared to that of a cricketer. Cricket is played in every single alley of the country. People don’t practice javelin in the same way”
