'God has protected me...' -Yuzvendra Chahal shares another cryptic post amid divorce rumours

In the midst of divorce rumours with partner Dhanashree Verma, India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal posted a cryptic message on Instagram. Yuzi Chahal expressed gratitude to God for keeping him safe throughout trying times. Rumours of his divorce with Dhanashree Verma were bolstered by his failure to open up on the circumstances. Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have never publicly admitted to having issues with marriage.

India is playing in the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai, and Yuzvendra Chahal is not part of the squad. At the moment, Chahal is not participating in cricket. On December 5, 2024, he participated in his last professional match while playing for Haryana in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. 

“God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I've been rescued that I don't even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen,” Chahal wrote on Instagram.

The pair has also not addressed any rumours. Chahal has previously shared enigmatic content on Instagram earlier. Chahal had hinted to his followers earlier in January 2025 about his character and hard work, highlighting the amount of effort he had put in to get to where he was.

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal unfollowed one another on Instagram, sparking rumours that the two were divorcing. Chahal allegedly removed all of his account's pictures of Dhanashree as well, which only served to heighten rumours of an upcoming breakup. The couple has been living apart for several months, according to those close to them; although their split seems inevitable, the precise causes are still unknown.

Chahal and Dhanashree were married in a private ceremony in Gurgaon in December 2020. They started dating during the pandemic when Chahal, after watching the dancer Dhanashree's YouTube, contacted her to learn how to dance. The pair soon gained popularity among fans after following their adventure on social media and even appearing on TV shows.

Even on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, Dhanashree talked about their friendship and how it developed throughout the lockdown. From sentimental postings to humorous Instagram Reels, their shared moments struck a chord with millions of fans.
