Team India are getting ready to play the third Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy starting on Saturday. The famous Gabba in Brisbane will host the game with the series evenly poised at 1-1. Former India skipper Virat Kohli is under pressure just like current captain Rohit Sharma ahead of the next game.

Former India batter Mohammad Kaif pointed out the glaring weakness in Kohli’s game ahead of the next game. The 36-year-old was yet again dismissed in his familiar pattern of getting caught behind while getting nicked off in the 4th stump line. Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland were the bowlers who dismissed Kohli during the Adelaide Test.

Mohammad Kaif, speaking via social media, said, "A bowler like Boland who plays only two-three Test matches in a year... He comes; he knows exactly where to bowl to Virat Kohli. Just pith it outside the off stump; Kohli will fiddle with it. He will nick it and get out, caught behind. This is an open secret."

Further speaking via his social media handle, Kaif was perplexed why Indian bowlers weren’t copying their counterparts. The 44-year-old earmarked Travis Head as a prime example. The Australian batter went onto score the match-defining century, which helped his side win the game by 10 wickets.

Kaif said, “If Boland knows how to trap Kohli, then why can't we do the some for Travis Head? If his weakness is outside the off-stump, why don’t we consistently bowl there? Every batsman has weaknesses."

Former India star also added, “Everyone knows Virat Kohli's weakness. You bowl it outside the off-stump and he will nick it. You'll need to adopt the same strategy against Travis Head as well. You need to move ahead with proper planning. You need to attack him from the first ball; you need to make a fixed plan to exploit his weakness, and then you can get him out."

“We are making mistakes. I don't believe this Australian team is so strong that we should be scared of them. We won the first match; Australia played well, so they won the second match, and now the series is 1-1. The Indian team is a strong side, and when we go to the Gabba, we will make a comeback," Mohammad Kaif ended by saying.
