The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a short video where fans in Canberra could be seen crowing at Rohit. One fan, in particular, was heard saying, “Rohit bhai, I have been waiting for 10 years”. The fan then went on to shout “Mumbai ka Raja,” which brought a smile on Rohit’s face as he was seen signing the fan’s bat.

Rohit’s return to the team during the warm up game saw him score just three runs while batting in the middle order. India and Australia will face off against each other in the 2nd Test match to be played in Adelaide starting on Friday.

Damien Fleming makes huge statement on Marnus Labuschagne

According to former Australian pacer Damien Fleming, young batting star Sam Konstas could replace Marnus Labuschagne. The 19-year-old scored 107 against India during the warm-up game for PM XI that was played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

Speaking to SEN Sports, Fleming said, “What I love about what Sam did yesterday was he enhanced his reputation and that's all you can do. That was brilliant from him. He's going to play, it's just a matter of when whether it's this summer or not. My feeling was an Aussie fan and commentator is that he doesn't play this summer because everyone else scores a lot of runs. But a failure for someone like Marnus means I can see Konstas coming straight in for him.”

Meanwhile, there are reports doing the rounds that there is tension in the Australian camp. Leading batter Travis Head quashed those rumours during his chat with the media and said, “It can be put to bed. We hold high expectations for both sides (batting and bowling) and it’s a very individualised sport.”

The left-handed batter also said, “So batters, we want to hold our own - we know how good our bowlers have been for us in the past and they’ve got us out of trouble a lot. As a batting group, we know that if we get enough runs on the board, we put ourselves in a great position.”
