Brett Lee, during his commentary stint on FOX Cricket, was heard saying, “Bumrah, today: five overs, 2-4. So, that's the tone, and that's what you want from the ex-skipper." This is when Guha came up with the comment, "Well, he's the MVP, isn't he? Most valuable primate, Jasprit Bumrah." The official definition of a primate is "any animal that belongs to the group that includes humans, monkeys, and animals like monkeys without a tail."

Many fans were outraged with the comment made by Isa Guha with the racial undertones it carried. Fans recalled the incident when Australia and India were involved in a huge racial controversy in 2008 during the Sydney Test match. The Aussies alleged that Harbhajan Singh had racially abused Andrew Symonds.

India bowls out Australia for 445 as Bumrah picks 6

Australia started the third day of the Gabba Test on their overnight score of 405/7. Mitchell Starc hit a few lusty blows to start the day in fine style. Jasprit Bumrah then picked his 50th wicket on Australian soil when he had Starc caught by Pant for 18.

Alex Carey went past his fifty as he batted well with the tail to take the home team to 445. Mohammed Siraj then went past the defence of Nathan Lyon to claim his 2nd wicket of the innings. Akash Deep then dismissed Alex Carey for 70, who was caught by Shubman Gill to end the innings. Carey scored his runs off 88 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes.

The Indian bowling coach backed his bowlers at the end of play on day two and said, “First of all, we can say Head is in pretty good form. But I think for us with the ball, if you look at it from overs 50 to 80, even in the last game, is where we fall short, leaking runs a little bit. So, that's one area I think we need to get better at.”

Morkel also added, “First up with the ball this morning, we were pretty good, at 3 for 70, but took nothing away from two world-class players. Smith, we know, he's a guy who also can bat long and score runs. Smith and Head put a partnership there and put us under pressure with a softer ball. It's definitely an area that we need to focus on, maybe deeper in the innings. Yes, we've got the game plans, but are we executing those game plans with a softer ball from both ends? That's something we need to get better at.”
