Former Pakistan cricket star Danish Kaneria has given his ideal pick to host the Champions Trophy 2025. Danish Kaneria has suggested that the men in blue shouldn’t tour Pakistan considering the circumstances prevalent. According to Danish Kaneria, the ideal venue to host the Champions Trophy 2025 is Dubai.

Speaking to SportsTak the former Pakistan spinner said, “Look at the situation in Pakistan I have to say that the Indian team should not go to Pakistan, and Pakistan should think about it.”

India haven’t toured Pakistan since 2008 when they played the Asia Cup across the border. The 2023 edition of Asia Cup was also supposed to be held in Pakistan but the BCCI decided against touring. This meant that the tournament was held in Hybrid Model with India playing all its games in Sri Lanka.

Further, during his chat with SportsTak, Danish Kaneria said, “The ICC will make their decision and most likely Champions Trophy will be played in a hybrid model in Dubai. This back and forth will go on for some time, it will be hyped up in the media. It’s a reality and it will definitely be a hybrid model. And BCCI will do whatever they been advised to."

While speaking about the safety of the players, Kaneria said, “The safety of the players is the first priority. Respect is the second priority. I think BCCI is doing a great job. Whatever their decision is, other countries will also have to accept that. I think it will be a hybrid model.”

“If you think positively, your mind that the situation is not good, security concerns are there, the rest of the team is coming but this is an Indian team. This is an Indian team. Now, we went to India, so the situation in India is far more better, the balance is there, everything is good, the world travels, tourists come from all over the world, so everything is great and the government is doing a fantastic job. So that's the thing, that's the reality," added Danish Kaneria.
