Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have dominated the Indian Premier League (IPL) in all the seasons. Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, CSK have won five titles, and one Champions League. Now, MS Dhoni has passed on the baton to young Ruturaj Gaikwad who has taken on the responsibility really well. the 27-year-old player is a magnificent batter in the top order and has been consistent with the team.

CSK retained captain Ruturaj Gaikwad for INR 18 crores, Matheesha Pathirana for INR 13 crores, Shivam Dube for INR 12 crores, Ravindra Jadeja for INR 18 crores and MS Dhoni for INR 4 crores as an uncapped player. CSK have retained a total of five players and have spent 65 crores. So, they will be going into the mega auction with INR 55 crores.

A decade after his departure, Ravichandran Ashwin made a grand return to the franchise for ₹9.75 crore. Joining him were Vijay Shankar and Devon Conway, reuniting with the CSK family.
On Day 2, the trend of comebacks continued with Sam Curran returning for ₹2.40 crore. CSK also made strategic additions, securing players like Noor Ahmad and Rachin Ravindra for significant amounts. The team, known for valuing loyalty and consistency, reinforced their roster with a mix of experienced names and rising stars.
