The 2019 World Cup champions also hold the record for the second and third highest totals in ODIs. Their 481/6 against Australia in 2018 remained the record for four years. In 2016, England posted 444/3 against Pakistan, which is now the third highest team total in ODIs. 

In the ODI World Cup 2007, Sri Lanka scored 443/9 against Netherlands, which is the fourth in the list. It still remains the highest total by a team in the ODI World Cup. South Africa has the fifth, sixth, and seventh highest totals in ODIs, respectively. Their 439/2 against the West Indies in 2015 is the fifth-highest team total in ODIs.

Highest Team Totals in One Day Internationals

In 2006, SA scored 438/9, while chasing 435 against Australia, which remains the highest team total in the second innings. Their 438/4 against India is the seventh highest team total in ODIs. Australia's 434/4 against SA was the record which remained the highest in ODIs for the least period, a little over 3 hours.

In the third ODI of the 2025 series against South Africa, the defending ODI WC Champions scored 431/2, which is now the ninth highest ODI total, thanks to tons from Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, and Cameron Green. SA scored 428/5 against Sri Lanka in the ODI WC 2023, which is the tenth highest score in ODIs.
