Cody Rhodes makes huge statement about Kevin Owens ahead of title match in Germany

World Wrestling Entertainment will hold their next Premium Live Event in Germany. The biggest match to watch out for during the event is the title match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. The second title match is between Randy Orton and local hero Gunther. 

Ahead of the event, Cody Rhodes was asked if he feared that Kevin Owens will betray him during the event. Cody Rhodes came out and defended his friend and called him an all season friend. 

“Everyone who watches all this wrestling thinks they know how to call it. This is my friend, my actual friend. Not just an on-camera friend, an off-camera friend. We get to wrestle in Berlin. Those who haven't seen the German fans are like, you're gonna be blown away by Bash in Berlin. Kevin Owens is the man. He saved me”

Cody Rhodes wants to face John Cena

Former WWE Champions and face of the company John Cena has already announced that 2025 will be his last year. There are lot of potential matches that the 15 time WWE Champion is set to have. 

Cody Rhodes went onto say “We get to live in this era; he’s definitely a man of his word. When he says it’s farewell, it truly is farewell. If you have the farewell tour t-shirt, go and get it; this is it. I drove John around for a year and I learned everything I possibly could.” 

The WWE Champion also said “Didn’t realize I was learning so much at the time. It would be the honor of my life to wrestle John Cena in any capacity. He’s the GOAT for a reason,”

Meanwhile, former WWE Writer Vince Russo wasn’t a happy camper and questioned why Kevin Owens was given a title shot. Vince Russo took to his YouTube channel and said that there wasn’t any reason to give the Canadian wrestler a title shot. 

“So, he (Cody Rhodes) offers a title shot to Kevin Owens. I never thought I would see this in my entire lifetime. Kevin Owens turns down the title shot saying he's not worthy and there's a locker room full of guys. I don't know why." Said Vince Russo.
