Virat Kohli's run drought continues in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 as he gets dismissed on nine runs in the second semifinal match against England. After playing a fantastic shot for six runs, Kohli threw his wicket to Reece Topley. By then he had just played nine balls and hadn't yet settled. After a series of low scores, Kohli has been under criticism once again.

Many people are criticising him for his form and the fact that he has been opening since the start of the tournament but has failed to score runs. His highest score in this tournament has been 37 runs against Bangladesh. This is the first time in his career that he has failed to score in an ICC tournament.

Even though we all are aware of what Kohli can do, people are reluctant to understand which is why time and again he has been under speculation. Moreover, if India is qualifying for the finals, we might get to see the big match player in action.

What if India vs England match gets washed out?

While the showers have been constantly disturbing the game between India and England, the first innings has finally been completed with India scoring 171 runs. However, if the rains continue to interrupt, the overs will start getting deducted in the second innings which might benefit England.

Nevertheless, if the match gets called off due to rain, then India would qualify for the finals due to their higher standings in the Super 8. Moreover, the match doesn't have a reserve day but the game can be extended up to 250 minutes which is good news for the Indian team.
