Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf is back in the nets after suffering an injury during the recent Tri-series. The 31-year-old spoke to Revsportz where he praised former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and revealed the bond the duo shared. Kohli smashed Haris Rauf for a huge six during the 2022 T20 World Cup and the shot is still rated as one of the best in the game.
Speaking to Revsportz, the Pakistani pacer said “Have played lots of cricket against Kohli, our bond is great and you get to learn a lot from a player of that quality. Everyone praises him and there is always a joy when bowling against such a great batter. It is always a challenge to bowl to Virat Kohli and I have always relished our battles”
The massive game between India and Pakistan is set to attract lots of attention. Team India is coming off a series win against England and will be looking to carry the same momentum. Pakistan on the other hand had lost the finals of the Tri-series at home to New Zealand.

31-year-old Haris Rauf had played the opening game of the Tri-series against New Zealand but left the match mid-way without completing his full quota of overs. Mohammad Hasnain replaced him for the second match of the tournament while Akif Javed was called in as the replacement.
Speaking to the media, Rauf said “I am feeling much better now. I have practiced for two days and bowled today. Personally, I am satisfied with my fitness and not experiencing any pain, but the final decision on whether I play against New Zealand rests with the management.”
The Pakistani speedster also spoke about the team's bowling unit and said “Our bowling unit is not limited to just one front-line spinner. We also have Khushdil Shah and Agha Salman, who can contribute depending on the match conditions,”. Pakistan who are the defending champions will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on Wednesday. The Men in Green then travel to Dubai to take on India in the massive encounter on Sunday.
